Day 1: Welcome & Sierra de Santiago Relaxation

Upon arriving at the Village, ease into your getaway by unwinding and connecting with nature to prep your body for the big adventure ahead. Take time to relax around the grounds, enjoy a scenic light hike, swim in nearby natural pools, or simply soak in the mountain air and peaceful starry skies.

Day 2: The Matacanes Adventure

The main event is here! Immerse yourself in one of the world's premier canyoneering experiences. Matacanes is an adrenaline-packed route where you'll conquer thrilling 15m and 27m (49ft and 88ft) rappels, leap into cliff jumps up to 12m (39ft), slide down natural waterslides, and explore breathtaking caves filled with crystal-clear turquoise waters.

    • 7:00 PM – Departure from Hotel Cola de Caballo in a safari-style truck to Matacanes Village.
  • Saturday
    • Day of relaxation, bonding, and trail prep in the mountains.
  • Sunday
    • Matacanes canyoneering expedition.
    • 6:00 PM – Return arrival at Hotel Cola de Caballo.

    Beginners: this trip is for personas without any experience in outdoor activities. The route involves walking in paths, between stones and can have downclimbing. All our routes include sa rappel course. Low phisical condition is required and is a requirement not to have overweight.

    Take the highway to Linares (carretera Nacional), passing El Cercado in Santiago Nuevo Leon, take Cola de Caballo road, go about 5 km south to reach the Hotel. Leave your car in the parking lot, the cost is 100 pesos per vehicle
