Day 1: The Matacanes Adventure

Dive into one of the top canyoning experiences in the world! Matacanes is a thrilling river adventure where you’ll rappel down 15 and 27-meter descents, take jumps from up to 12 meters, slide down natural rock slides, and explore stunning caves with crystal-clear waters and unique rock formations.

Day 2: Relaxation in the Sierra de Santiago

After a day of adrenaline-pumping adventure, take it easy and enjoy the serenity of the mountains. You can go on a scenic hike, swim in natural pools, relax in our outdoor resting areas, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings of Aldea Matacanes.

🕖 7:00 PM - Departure from Hotel Cola de Caballo in a safari-style vehicle to Aldea Matacanes.

📍 Sunday
🕕 6:00 PM - Return to Hotel Cola de Caballo.

Difficulty

Beginners: this trip is for personas without any experience in outdoor activities. The route involves walking in paths, between stones and can have downclimbing. All our routes include sa rappel course. Low phisical condition is required and is a requirement not to have overweight.

Gear available

1. 4x4 transportation in a safari style truck, open air vehicle full of fun and joy since the begining.
2. Cabins and camping area at baseline, Changing rooms, bathrooms, electricity, water, fresh hot coffee, restaurant and shop.
3. Professional canyoning gear for each participant: Harness, helmet, PFD and wet-suit
  4. Professional ICAN certified guides with up top date courses of first aid and canyoning.
5. Pictures of the trip after fillin the poll. **if available
  6. Medical first aid kit for the trip in the mountain, recommended by the Mexican Red Cross.

    • Groups

    Groups can be made of 5 people minimum. In case of not being able to form a group, you'll have to make reservations with a full payment of the tour and wait to be assigned to one of the groups formed by other people. If you can't be assigned, you'll be refunded. You may ask for VIP groups with no minimum persons and guides will be assigned exclusively for you including all meals, transportation from airport , cabins and hotel nights.
