Clothes
  • Dry-fit or cotton shirt
  • Long licra bottom
  • Jeans or heavy duty fabric short (long pants will be very heavy when wet)
  • Socks (two pairs can be used to tighten the shoe)
  • New tennis (no open shoes, this is to protect your feet inside the water)
  • Dry change of clothes for the end of the trip
  • On trips with transportation, you'll need a sweater, windbreaker and a cap.
    • Groups
    Groups can be made 6 people minimum en closed dates, one person minimum in open groups. You can make Aldea Matacanes exclusive for you with a minimum of 35 persons, but is necesary to reseve and pay 2 months before the event.
    Food & Drinks

    Italian-style Carbohydrate Dinner: Al dente pasta with creamy spinach sauce, served with homemade mashed potatoes and refreshing flavored water.

    Full Breakfast: Orange water, milk, bread with spreads like Nutella, peanut butter, and jam. Also includes cereal with milk, fresh bananas, and freshly brewed hot coffee.

    During the Tour: We provide a can of tuna and an energy candy.

    Recommendations:
    We suggest bringing energy bars or chocolate for the hike. Your vest has pockets for easy storage.
    Please avoid bringing disposable water bottles.

    Season
    Begin March 21st and it approximately ends on September 15th, depending on the rains and hurricanes. It can be suspended at any time according to river level. The river safety level is monitored daily by inhabitants of Potrero Redondo, Las Adjuntas and the State authorities.

    Meeting Point
    Meeting point will at La Estanzuela Natural Park in Monterrey, NL. To arrive to this point from down-town Monterrey, take Eugenio Garza Sada Avenue to the south, to get to highway 40, passing Christus Hospital on your left take the next exit (to your right).

    Nuestra experiencia fue increible, todo fue perfecto para nuestra estadía en la aldea y nuestro recorrido, el personal es excelente. Durante mi recorrido por el cañón una de mis acompañantes se lastimó el pie y los guías le proporcionaron una pastilla para el dolor, además de que buscaron la manera para seguir disfrutando el recorrido sin lastimarse, tuvieron paciencia durante la caminata y fueron muy atentos. En la aldea los anfitriones fueron muy amables, serviciales y divertidos. Disfrutamos nuestros dias en el lugar y sin duda alguna regresariamos con mas acompañantes!
